Thanks for your feedback……new improvements.

Thanks to Jonathan, Ian, Andy and all of you for your kind feedback on the site.

….which is keeping our excellent technical team busy  - making the site easier to navigate, find stuff and make offers:

  • Businessess – we are introducing mandatory fields for insurance cover –  GIT (goods in transit) and public liability insurance. These will be visible to senders in your carrier profile. We will be emailing all businesses once this is live to update their profiles, to help senders and you.
  • New “upload” section – we’re going to improve this so it’s easier to navigate and gives you clearer “options” at the end eg “businessess only” / “telephone offers”.
  • New “search” filters – including search by placenames, by items ending in 24 hours.
  • List View – so you can see the items on a map and also in a list, so you have the choice.
  • Remember my page, so when you log-in it takes you to the page you were trying to see.

That’s the current crop of “new stuff” on the way. Plenty more in the pipeline, including alerts and branching out to the Republic of Ireland……more news of these in time.

The map is now becoming difficult to use, 31 items and those around the London area are impossible to read. Think it is time to put it in list order, and not just showing Postcodes, I know it shows roughly the area but it needs to show the name of the town and full postcodes, There can be alot of mileage difference within a postcode, take for instance TR13 which is Helston in Cornwall, it covers an area that is 25 miles from one end to the other, it may not be how Joe Public works but those of us who do this for a living like to work out mileages to see if the job is worth doing, even if it is a cheap load. But the map is not working, needs to be in list order. But this is just my opinion. Thanx, Mick.

    thanks mick
as you’ll see from our blog, the improvements you mention are now being worked on.
we’re developing placename search, a list view, as well as better search option / layout.

for now though, do remember that you can zoom into the google map, and also use the existing search filters to narrow it down.

All postcodes in Detail View are full postcodes, so they can give you the exact location for mileage calculations.

    Thanks
