New and Exciting Features Coming to Stuff2Send!

September 16th, 2009

Over the next few months, you’re going to see a lot of new and exciting features on Stuff2Send. As we roll out these features, we will be blogging and tweeting letting everyone know about the changes as they come.

The first big change we’ve already made is the ability for a Sender to upload multiple photos of an item to be delivered. In addition to the standard information that accompanies an item, pictures uploaded by a Sender should provide clearer indication of the item needing sent. This should help Carriers decide if they want to bid on an item or not.

Also, on the login page, we’ve added a “remember me” function. This means you no longer have to login every time you visit the site…your login details are now stored on your computer if you choose to use this feature.

While we would love to tell you about the other changes we have planned…that just wouldn’t be any fun :) Stay tuned for more information!

Thanks,

The Stuff2Send Team

Directly Import and List Sold Items from eBay into Stuff2Send

August 28th, 2009

We want to remind you all of a convenient feature built into the Stuff2Send website. Stuff2Send allows you to directly import SOLD items from eBay. This saves you time in that you can automatically post an item using the same information you listed on eBay.

If you take advantage of this feature, please don’t forget to update the description of your listing after it has been imported so people understand you need the item DELIVERED. Without updating the description, confusion may arise as the eBay verbage might convey you’re trying to sell the item, which absolutely isn’t your purpose if you are using Stuff2Send.

As always, if you have any questions about using the direct import feature or updating the description of the listing, please do not hesitate to email us at contact@stuff2send.com.

Richard’s money saving experience!

April 18th, 2009

“Using your site for the first time, it was a really good experience for me.  I only put the item on the day before I wanted it collecting and the carrier was able to pick it up and deliver it about an hour later.  I saved money compared with my usual courier and was confident that the items were being handled with care.  Overall I was delighted with your site and the carrier’s service.  “

Go Kart engine – carted for less!

April 16th, 2009

Adrian needed to send a Go Kart Engine as cheaply as possible from Plymouth to Basildon.

He simply uploaded the item details onto stuff2send for a competitive delivery offer.

Shortly he received offers and agreed a delivery charge of £10!

The carrier provided a very good service, collected the item at the agreed time and delivered it promptly and safely to Basildon.

Another item sent!  That may be a service hard to beat….

April 15th, 2009

After listening to the mother-in-law for four very long days David managed to escape in the car for a well deserved journey home.

Just to put the icing on the cake he also managed to win a bid on a parcel going his way too.

And earned an easy £25.

At least his fuel costs were helped by stuff2send!

Deliver….a Person!

April 4th, 2009

Stuff2send.com is about moving”stuff” from A to B.

We’re not limited to “parcels” and “packages” but anything physical that needs delivered……luggage…..even people!

With rising train fares, there’s an enterprising lady in Cardiff who needs to get home to Birmingham.

So, she “uploaded” herself (and her suitcase) in the hope a stuff2send member could help her out, save her some costs, and make themselves some £.

Can you? Know of anyone who might?

If you’re going from Cardiff to Birmingham, or know of someone reliable who is, take a look on the site ….

Andrew Saved a Day’s Work and £200 – By Using Stuff2Send.com

April 4th, 2009

Andrew is a property developer in South London.

With pressure on costs he tries to source as much material as he can from reclamation sites, auctions and so on.

A lovely spiral staircase was too good a bargain to miss for the outdoor stairs on his 4 floor flat conversion…….but they were in Northumberland….that’s a long way from London.

Now he needed a cheap courier or parcel delivery service that covered the UK.

Having got quotes from several couriers and courier delivery companies, and a quote to hire a van for a day (or two!),  Andrew was facing greater costs to get the staircase delivered than it cost! Which would knock a great hole in the saving’s he’d made in finding such a bargain in the first place!

A quick online search  for large parcel delivery suggested www.stuff2send.com…and MickY….a private courier in Newcastle…..came to the rescue.

Micky gave a great courier delivery service - he picked up the staircase (and also a boiler!) and delivered them to London, in his estate car.

A real personal service, always on the phone and delivered door to door.

Andrew saved costs on delivery service, used a local courier to deliver a large item and didn’t have to take a day off work.

A win-win for everyone…and a great story to highlight that out there, for the 33m drivers in the UK,  there’s room for everyone to help others out deliveirng stuff as you drive about.

Go on, deliver something along the way, and earn some cash for your fuel costs
